If you've never attended one of our fitness or weight loss retreats, or any retreat in general, you probably have a lot of questions. You are not alone. Finding the right retreat that matches your goals is extremely important. That's why we're sharing some of the commonly asked questions the Fit Farm at Rock Springs sales team gets asked by potential future guests.

Every month we're reaching out to our sales team to see what common questions they're currently being asked, and you'll be surprised, they're never the same!   1. I was wondering what the difference is in the weight loss session week and the fitness session week? I also would like to know if I can do a week and see if it is a fit for me and then schedule the following two weeks after/or schedule to come back if the spot is not available?

      Hi, Julie! Thank you for your interest in our programs! The weight loss program adds a personal touch to the group fitness program. You’ll receive two 1-on-1 consultations per week with our dietitian and/or personal trainers, a blood panel evaluation for further program personalization (blood panel must be completed before arrival), and additional weight loss education (in a group setting with other weight loss program participants).

      We understand that committing to a program is an important decision. Absolutely, you can certainly start with one week to experience our offerings and assess if it aligns with your preferences and goals. After completing the initial week, you’re more than welcome to discuss scheduling additional weeks or future sessions based on availability. Our goal is to make sure you have the flexibility and options that best suit your needs.

  3. Good evening. I have noticed in your literature that you, at times, have a promotional offer for local residents. I am interested in coming to the fitness retreat, staying for one 1-2 weeks and then continuing for 2 additional weeks but staying at home and coming daily. Is this possible and what would the pricing be for an arrangement like that? Does the pricing vary at different times of the year?

  4. My wife and I are in our early 70’s. Want to restore some fitness lost with age. Do your programs have older adults like us?

      Yes, absolutely! We have guests that participate in our Fit Farm retreats in their 70’s and 80’s. Our expert trainers are experienced with helping guests of all ages restore their fitness.

  5. Hi, What is the cost for “1” person and a 2 week stay? Also, do people really lose weight after their stay at your Farm?

      Hi Cathy! Thank you for your interest in our program! You’ll be surprised to learn that on average, women lose between 4-6 pounds per week, and men lose 6-8 pounds per week at Fit Farm!       Hi Kirsten! That’s a great question. This really depends on the occupancy for the following week(s). Once you’re on property, if you decide that you would like to extend your stay, reach out to a member of our team asap and they would be more than happy to look into that for you.

  6. Do you all have any one signed up for the 2nd week in May that would like a roommate? I am a female. This would help with the cost, that’s why I am inquiring.

      Hi Kathy! It really depends on your insurance if they will cover your stay. You will need to work with your doctor and your insurance company to determine your available coverage. To start the process, work with your doctor to declare a medical necessity and submit for reimbursement through your insurance medical savings account.

  7. I can’t take ibuprofen or naproxen (NSAIDs). I see these are in the required packing list. Any suggestion for an alternative?

Do you accept Insurance I seen your place on tv and I like it me and my daughter would to come this place would be a big help to us and we can get a lot out of the fit farm it a great place because where we live I don’t think we have a fit farm let this which I would love we are from San Antonio Tx

      Hi Jayme! The facilities are available 24/7. We have scheduled classes from 7am – 5:30pm. Then the fitness facilities can be accessed 24/7.

  9. I would love to send my husband to a retreat like this. We are retired military. He was on active duty in the Middle East and gained a lot of weight after he returned. Now he is unable to lose it and keep it off.
    Is there a way to make payments for a more extended stay? He needs a minimum of 4 weeks, if not longer.

      Hi Bri! For TN residents who can commute we do provide a different program that includes a monthly pass with full group access, monthly testing, 1 lunch, and 1 snack per day.   10. Hello, have you had any clients with autoimmune thyroid disease Hashimotos and do they get different workouts because of the way antibodies react to exercise stress on heart…and also would they get gluten free, grain free, dairy free and soy free meals?

      Hi Meredith, thank you for your inquiry! We have had guests at Fit Farm with Hashimotos. They discussed with our certified trainers their diagnosis and worked together to identify what they can and cannot do. As far as diet is concerned, we are able to accommodate gluten-free and dairy-free diets. However, grain and soy are not within the dietary restrictions that we are able to fully accommodate.

  11. Hey this looks pretty interesting.
    I am 35 and skinny fat, ha. Dad bod kinda thing.
    I wish I could spend all day like I did when i was a kid, playing sports and being active.

    Are there enough “roughly in shape” guests there to actually play sports with and stuff. I tried one camp once and left after a day because everyone was much larger and I felt like the program wasnt designed for people trying to lose that last 10-15 pounds.

    Also, do yall have a results images / success stories section?

      Hi Philip, this is a really great question! Though the guest mix up changes from week to week, we normally have a great blend of all levels of fitness, ages, and weight loss goals. As a matter of fact, when deciding to open Fit Farm, the owner wanted to make sure we were an all-inclusive facility where everyone feels welcome and challenged. A common trend of many guests is the fact that they were athletic when they were younger and want to feel that way again. So we love to incorporate sports into our workouts. Our trainers even jump in to help even the playing field. And yes, we do love to share our success stories! Within our blog section, you can find a number of inspiring transformations from our former guests!

  12. I want to join but can only get away for the extended weekend. Can I be in the group of really overweight people during my weekend stay?
    I have 70lbs to lose and lack confidence to be grouped with athletic people. I need to be around people at my level.
