Fitness and Weight Loss Retreats
All-inclusive here at Rock Springs Retreat Center is more than what’s included in your rate. We also are all-inclusive to adult guests of all ages, gender, and fitness level.
Our goal is to provide an environment where everyone feels welcome, challenged, and accomplished. Our expert trainers will meet you where you are today in your fitness journey and take you to the next level.
We provide a minimum week-long, all-inclusive, customized boot camp experience for all fitness levels. We host weekly workshops on nutrition and related topics within a typical 7-hour training schedule.
• Your entire fitness training program with up to 7 hours of fitness each day
• Arrival and departure fitness assessment
• Lodging accommodations
• Customized meal plan including 2 healthy snacks per day
• In-room WiFi
• 14-Day At-Home Plan including 12 days of our chef-prepared recipes
• Access to all property amenities
We believe transparency in pricing is important. Please refer to our rates (Fitness Retreats or Weight Loss Retreats) for a complete list included in every package we offer.
If you choose to purchase merchandise or accessories from our general store or schedule any additional services and activities, additional fees or charges will apply unless otherwise specified in your package. The additional services would include (but are not limited to) massage, spa services, personal training, nutrition consultation, or life coaching from our instructors.
On average, women lose between 4-6 pounds per week, and men lose 6-8 pounds per week (we know – it’s not fair!). But everyone responds differently to the program. Most likely, your body is not accustomed to a daily fitness regimen of 6-7 hours, so you may react differently than other guests. Some guests retain water during their stay and lose the water weight when they go home to a regular routine.
Some guests lose more than the average. We encourage you to look at your success in a holistic way and measure your success with multiple items: weight loss, inches lost, increased strength, increased mobility, increased endurance, body fat loss, and feeling better both mentally and physically. While weight loss may appear to be the goal, we’ve found our guests realize so much more in addition to the overall weight loss.
For our weight loss program, we recommend the following for maximizing your results here on the farm. DHEA, Estradiol, Progesterone (all can impact the ability to lose weight). TSH (thyroid), Cortisol levels (stress hormone), Insulin, Complete metabolic workup (lipids, CBC levels, Vitamin D) if desired.
Overall, we focus on a whole-body workout that combines strength, mobility, cardio, and recovery throughout every day. We will do everything from HIIT, Weight Lifting, Boxing, Hiking, Biking, Yoga, Spin, and aquatic. Our schedules change each week so that we provide a wide variety of classes during the entire length of your stay. However, we also balance that variety with repetitiveness, so you feel confident in walking away with the knowledge to continue your fitness activities when you return home.
Yes and no. Each of our classes is uniquely designed to challenge guests of all fitness levels. This is accomplished by the vast experience of our trainers, who can provide modifications for every exercise based on your specific fitness level. So, we have group classes where all fitness levels are together and classes that are grouped by fitness level. Rest assured, you will be challenged based on YOU and not the person next to you. Our typical guest-to-trainer ratio is 15:1, so you will always have the personal attention you need to have a safe and challenging workout.
We won’t lie; there is a certain level of competitiveness that naturally comes out in most guests during their stay. But that competitive spirit is most often you competing with yourself. Where you want to do more, you push yourself to achieve your goals. And you find the fire from within. It doesn’t happen for everyone, and that is certainly just fine with us. This is YOUR JOURNEY. We’re simply here to be your coach, accountability partner, and friend all along the way.
Your first class each day will start at 7:00 am, with breakfast being served at 8:00 am. Each day you will review your accomplishments from the day before and set new goals for the day. Then you work through a variety of classes that take you through the peaks and valleys of fitness intensity. Your last class of the day will end at 5:30 pm. As for meals, again, breakfast is every day at 8:00 am, lunch will be served at noon, your afternoon snack at 3:00 pm, dinner at 5:30 pm, and an evening snack that you take back to your room. The rest of the evening is all yours! You may find that the intensity of the training regimen prompts a natural desire to ‘wind down’ during the evenings.
We encourage you to relax, enjoy a nice slow walk, read, and take advantage of the recovery therapies available in our Serenity Spa. The exceptions to the schedule are on Thursdays and Sunday’s which are half days; after all, your body needs recovery time! Breakfast and lunch on these days will be “take-home,” so you can enjoy your meal anywhere on or off the property. However, we will serve dinner in the Mess Hall both evenings.
Strictly speaking, participation is entirely at the discretion of our guests. This is YOUR JOURNEY. Communication and goal setting are key elements to a successful experience. We encourage you to talk openly with your training during your initial meeting and develop the plan of participation needed to reach your goals. We will use this information to be your accountability partner during your stay. Ultimately – this will set you up for success both during camp and beyond. It is entirely up to you.
The Rock Springs Retreat Center chefs cook real, healthy food during your stay. We have a fixed meal each day. If we’re ever serving a meal that isn’t appealing to you, we always offer a tasty chicken dinner as an alternative.
We recognize that you may have special dietary restrictions, allergies, or intolerances that need to be accommodated. Simply let us know about these items, and we’ll happily adjust your meals to these needs.
Our nutrition philosophy easily supports lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, and pescatarian dietary restrictions. Please contact a Rock Springs Retreat Center consultant about our approach with other dietary restrictions.

A fitness tracker lets you watch and record your heart rate, daily burned calories, step counts, and so much more.
Self-tracking allows you to stick to a healthier diet, exercise more, and sleep better. Regular use of a fitness tracker boosts your daily workouts and makes them achievable. We'll start your new habit while you're here at the farm through our daily round-up. To learn more about how we use fitness trackers in our program (specifically the Fitbit), visit our blog, Tracking Your Heart Rate.
Although we prefer Fitbit, any fitness tracker that tracks heart rate and calories will work (ie Apple Watch or Garmin).
All of our newly arrived guests will participate in an orientation and tour to get you familiar with what to expect during your stay. During this orientation, you will receive the week’s class schedule, daily meal schedule, an overview of what to expect, and your fitness journal.
After orientation, we’ll have a welcome dinner and a little meet and greet with the staff and guests. Then you have the evening to yourself. Take this time to explore the property and unwind. Let the pressures of everyday life melt away through the serenity of your new home away from home.
Check-in hours are between 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm on Sundays. Checkout hours are on Sundays between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, and guests are welcome to continue their fitness journey with us or enjoy our activities while waiting for shuttle pickup on Sundays.
A welcome dinner is provided on the evening of your arrival and breakfast is included on the day of your departure. We can provide additional meals on these days at an additional cost. Please contact a staff member to make arrangements.
