mountain biking
With over 25 official recognized and world-renown biking trails, the surrounding countryside outside Nashville has long been held to be the ‘Holy Grail’ of mountain biking by serious competitors and casual enthusiasts alike. Explore Mountain Biking in nearby Gallatin.
Climbing
There’s probably no place with a higher concentration of great climbing spots as Tennessee. Within an hour’s drive from Nashville, you’ll find areas such as the famed Foster Falls in South Cumberland State Park, a two-mile cliff line that offers scenic and technical, bolted sport climbing.
Hiking
Bledsoe Creek, Town Creek Greenway and The Lock 4 are just a few of the trails we have throughout the Nashville area and surround that offer both effective training opportunities and the natural beauty of our Tennessee foothills. A favorite among locals, these trails are an amazing fitness experience!
kayaking
Kayaking is a great workout and there’s nothing quite like private lessons taught by an ACA (American Canoe Association) Certified Kayak Instructor who’s instructed thousands of paddlers. Try a variety of kayaks and practice your new-found skills down a calm river led by your instructor.

Nashville’s SUP (stand up paddleboard) scene is booming, with both guided and self-guided tours that meander from Shelby Park, roughly 2.5 miles away from (and commencing in) the heart of Downtown Nashville. Get together with other paddleboard adventurers down by the riverfront in downtown Nashville!

Nothing gets your heart pounding like the exhilaration of running full tilt into paintball combat! With balls flying past you and your team coming together in one of various paintball achievement scenarios, you’ll be painting the town red before you know it! The necessities of life are real — we get that. If you need a haircut, manicure, new clothes, or your favorite brand of toothpaste, we’re happy to give you a lift to town. We offer scheduled outings from the farm to gather whatever you may need. Additionally, you can rent a car and keep it at the farm or hire a driver to pick you up and take you off-site. For basic necessities, our general store at The Lodge will have most of the products you need.
